Summer Braided Styles You Need to Try

Summertime is the best time to switch up on your hairstyle. From fun days at the beach to music festivals, each occasion calls for its own look and what better way to embrace versatility than by trying out different braided styles. Here are a few summer braid styles you need to try.

Side Braid
This style is both elegant and fun and can be worn on many different occasions, be it formal or casual. Braid your hair into a French braid and take care to keep it way up on your head. Navigate the braid from the top, around your head, then down to your shoulders. You can tug some hair from the braid just a bit to give it more volume but don’t overdo it as it can lead to a messy, loose braid. This style is quick and easy to do, and you can decorate it with flowers or butterfly clips for a more elegant look.

Nomad Braid
The Nomad braid is romantic and provides an elegant touch to any look. Take sections of your hair and braid them, before wrapping them around your head and clipping them in with bobby pins. The rest of your hair can flow loose and can either be straightened or curled depending on your desired look. You can add small clips around the braids to give it a softer appearance.

Faux Braid
If you are not in the mood to create an elaborate braid, then you can try out this easy, convenient style. Create four ponytails in your head then wrap them around each other to create the illusion of an elaborate braid. Pin the ends of the ponytails at the bottom of your neck to secure the style. Thick hair will probably require you to make several ponytails to ensure that the style looks good. A minimum of four ponytails is needed for the desired look.

Headband Braid
This style is perfect if you are looking to keep a large portion of your hair flowing down. Simple and easy to complete, this style gives a soft touch to your look and will make you feel like an ethereal princess. All you have to do is braid a small portion of your hair before wrapping it around your head and securing it at the back with a bobby pin.

Reverse Braid
Ponytails can be so versatile, and you can spice them up with this stylish look. Instead of braiding your ponytail the traditional way, you can braid it in reverse, starting from the bottom going up. You can even try applying this same technique to a French braid. Add a few flower clips and pins to glam it up.

Summertime offers a plethora of opportunities to liven up your hair, you should take advantage of this by trying out any one of the styles mentioned above. Each one can be worn on a variety of occasions and does not require too much of your time or effort to complete. Don’t forget to enjoy your summer braids!
