Braided Styles for the Fall

Braided Styles for the Fall

Fall is a perfect season for wearing protective hairstyles and readying your hair for the cold weather to come. There are many styles you can try out, but braids seem to be the most common. Here are a few braided styles to try this fall.

Side Braid
Flirty and chic, this style is perfect for a date night or a relaxed day out shopping. Start off by braiding your hair into a French braid and combine it with a fishtail that it is side swept, giving the appearance that your hair is flowing from the side of your head.

Fishtail Braid
This is a simple style that won’t take too much effort to complete. Part your hair into two sections and then braid each of them all the way to the tip before securing with an elastic. Tie the sections together and pull them up through your gap between your elastic and head for a lovely fishtail braid.

Standard braid
All you need for this style is to part your hair into three sections before bringing them together to make one long braid, all the way to the end. Secure with an elastic band, and you can either roll up the braid into a bun or leave it as it is.

French braid
You can spice up a French braid by pulling it up and putting it in a messy bun. This style is perfect for a bad hair day or when you are feeling too lazy to do something fancy.

Braided crown
Ethereal and elegant, this style is perfect for channeling your inner princess and requires little effort to complete. Simply braid two sections of your hair before wrapping them around your head to form a beautiful crown. Spray your hair for added shine and volume. Much like the messy French braid, this style is also perfect for a casual or lazy day.

Dutch braid
Dutch braids are simple, elegant and can be worn on any occasion, be it casual or formal. It’s also perfect if you are looking to keep your hair away from your face and can be combined with a French braid for added edge. Simply braid your hair in a similar fashion to a French braid then braid the tips under the middle portion of your head before securing with elastic and bobby pins to keep it intact.

Cornrows
Cornrows are simple, easy to maintain and perfect when you are looking to keep your hair away from your face and have it secured. They work on medium, shorter, or long hair and can be left in place for much longer than other braided styles. You can spice things up by trying out cornrow braids that start from the front of your head and meet at the top. You can choose to tie them in a simple ponytail or secure them in a lovely bun.

Braids are perfect for the fall, and there are plenty of other styles that you can also try out. Take care to pick styles that won’t damage your hair.
